In recent months, the Flux team has grown with 7 new people: urbanist Bram Willemse, landscape designer Indra Oosterink, landscape designer (Msc) Nick Hersbach, landscape designer Bob Nouwens and interns Sebastian Gonzalez, Maryam Rastegar Pouyani and Kiana Nikoosiar Jahromi. Flux is a multidisciplinary office of 21 people from different design backgrounds.
Flux's project Edible Waddencoast has been selected for the IABR 2022 and is now on display during this exhibition. The project Edible Waddencoast focuses on the future of the Wadden landscape and shows how changing dynamics and different conditions can form the basis for a rich and productive food landscape. Commissioned by the Province of Flevoland, Flux worked on the vision for the Noordoostpolder. The Noordoostpolder is a landscape monument. New challenges in agriculture, such as scaling-up and chain extension, are in need of reflection. For instance, are these trends a danger or an opportunity for the Noordoostpolder? In this design research, Flux examined what the Noordoostpolder needs to accommodate these changes and what values can be offered in terms of liveability, cultural history, accessibility, biodiversity, utility value, amenity value and climate.

Flux on excursion in Copenhagen
Flux has been on excursion in Copenhagen! The team visited 23 projects. During the excursion, the team visited COBE where several projects were explained with a tour through the office.
Overall, three pleasant excursion days in which a lot of cycling took place and Kalvebod Fælled Skole, the City Dune, Israel Square, Konditaget Lüders, among others, were part of the excursion programme. Beautiful places and a lot of inspiration for our projects!
With thanks to Cobe and Mads Bryld Sørensen.

Flux has been selected by the Ministerie van Maak! as one of 100 participants to collaborate on new designs for the Netherlands. With this, the Ministerie van Maak wants to contribute to the radical transformation of the Netherlands and offer concrete solutions to the housing shortage, energy transition and the effects of climate change. One hundred test sites have been designated for this purpose; a design for 10,000 homes will be created for each site. Flux is working on the location Lelystad.
The hundred spatial solutions will be brought together in the largest maquette model ever made in the Netherlands. It will be on display in Rotterdam from the 14th of October during the 10th edition of the Architecture Biennale Rotterdam.
Zuiderpark The Hague winner of the WLA Honour Award 2022
With the project Zuiderpark The Hague Flux has won the WLA Honour Award 2022! Over more than 240 submissions worldwide were submitted, whereby Flux had been selected in the category Conceptual-Design. After selection for the longlist, the plan was honoured with the Honour Award. Flux has designed a spatial vision for the Zuiderpark in The Hague. The pressure on the park will increase considerably in the coming years as 10,000 homes will be built in the surrounding neighbourhoods. At the same time, the importance of the park for climate adaptation and biodiversity is increasing. This calls for a revision of the Zuiderpark. Flux has developed a vision in which encounter, climate, safety, health and liveability are central.
Zuiderpark vision was commissioned by the municipality of The Hague
