Flux starts research into landscape-inclusive agriculture for CRA
Flux landscape architecture has been selected by the College van Rijksadviseurs (CRA) for a design research into landscape-inclusive agriculture. The question is what the transition in agriculture will look like, which business models are possible and which benefits can be achieved for biodiversity, climate and recreation. Within the research, three different locations are being looked at, Flux will conduct specific research into the Marne area in Groningen. The other locations are the Krimpenerwaard and Salland. The three locations follow from the Panorama Nederland vision that the CRA published earlier this year. During the project there will be a collaboration with the College van Rijksadviseurs, the Louis Bolk Instituut, Kenniscentrum Landschap (RUG) and a broad group of stakeholders from the region.
Flux and Koehorst in 't Veld selected as designers for the HWBP project book
Together with graphic designers Koehorst in 't Veld, Flux landscape architecture has been selected to make the annual project book of the Hoogwaterbeschermingsprogramma (HWBP). Besides an overview of all the projects for that year, the book contains a substantive reflection on the water safety task in the Netherlands. The last 3 years Lola landscape architects was responsible for the content and appearance of the books.
Team BAM wins tender in Leidsche Rijn center
Team BAM with Zecc architects, BureauVanEig, Nieman and Flux landscape architecture have won the tender for the G8 plot in Leidsche Rijn center. The block is organized around a communal inner-garden. The inner-garden is an extension of the public space and has a collective character. The inner-garden offers access to the building, parking garage and bicycle parking.
Three alternatives Grebbedijk project have been presented
Three alternatives were presented in the Grebbedijk project. Elements from these alternatives will included in the preferred alternative. Flux is responsible for the spatial design commissioned by the Waterschap Vallei en Veluwe and works together with Lievense and Fugro. Supervision Eric Luiten. In addition to the design of the three alternatives, Flux has developed a spatial quality framework for the dike, which serves as a starting point for the planning.
Selection Zwijndrecht Binnenplein
The team of Flux landscape architecture/PosadMaxwan, together with 3 other teams, is selected for the Zwijndrecht Binnenplein assignment. The assignment is part of Vlaams Bouwmeester. For more information: Vlaams Bouwmeester
Flux and Ruimtevolk are working on an area agenda for the Lopikerwaard
In collaboration with Ruimtevolk, Flux landscape architecture is going to work on the development of an area agenda for the Lopikerwaard. Flux and Ruimtevolk investigate how changes in the soil and water system can form the basis for future spatial challenges such as energy transition, climate adaptation and improved accessibility. Five municipalities are working towards a joint area agenda. Commissioned by region Lopikerwaard (Municipalities of Lopik, Montfoort, Oudewater, IJsselstein, Woerden), Province of Utrecht and De Stichtse Rijnlanden Water Board.

Flux and Faro win tender in Hillegom
Flux and Faro have won the tender for a new sustainable residential area in Hillegom. The existing canal structure is expanded and connects the neighborhood in a natural way with the landscape and the existing urban fabric. Commissioned by Timpaan.
Final results of design research Groene hart presented
The Cope Scape project was presented on 20 May as part of the final results of the Groene Hart design research. In a case study for the Province of Utrecht, Flux focused on the area between Kamerik, Kockengen and Haarzuilens. The project shows that necessary adjustments to the soil and the water system can form the basis for future spatial developments. The research is part of a larger study of peat meadow problems and subsidence in the Groene Hart and was supervised by a core team from the Province of Utrecht, led by Michiel van Dongen and Paul Roncken (Provincial Advisor on Spatial Quality).
Notenboomplein in IJmuiden is in progress
Flux's design for a park in IJmuiden is in progress. The design is commissioned by Synchroon. The development of the surrounding architecture was designed by OZ architects. In collaboration with the municipality of Velsen.
